Careers - Human Resources/Services - Cosmetology

Cosmetology allows students to potentially be a licensed cosmetologist by the time they graduate high school. This opportunity propels students into the workforce or allows them to work during college at something they love. All of this after learning professional hair cutting and styling, facial and nail treatments, make-up techniques and more during their time in the program. During the senior year, Apollo cosmetology students begin patron service in their very own salon on campus and are prepared to take the state test in March! This hands-on experience enables students to practice as a cosmetologist after high school, work as a make-up artist or even one day own or manage their own salon.

  • Chemical straightening
  • Manicuring/Pedicuring

  • Platform Artist at Trade Shows
  • Certification in Massage Relaxation after State test

Cosmetology students begin patron service in the salon their senior year and are prepared to take the state test in March. Most students graduate as licensed cosmetologists. Students also obtain a certified tanning certificate along with relaxation massage certificate.

Apollo-Real World Experience

Apollo gave me everthing I wanted out of my high school experience. I will have my cosmetology license before I graduate, lots of new friends, and great memories.

Apollo Career Center Cosmetology Salon

The Apollo Career Center Cosmetology Salon opens each year in mid-October. Appointments are available Wednesday-Friday, 8:30-10:30 a.m. Services offered include color, cut, styling, perms, manicures and artificial nails.

Please call 419-998-2901 to set up an appointment. All chemical services require an appointment.
