Under the direction of the County Administrator or Commissioners, may represent the Commissioners at meetings, and various public functions; promote public relationships, and may serve as a spokesperson for the Commissioners/county government as a whole. Provide updates and overviews as it relates to responsibilities at regularly scheduled meetings with the Commissioners. Under guidance of the County Clerk, is responsible for filing and journalizing all records of Board proceedings and general index, records retention schedule and public records requests.

II. Coordinate and implement employee wellness program.

III. Serve as a back-up to the Clerk of the Board: Prepare agenda for all Board of Commissioner meetings and distribute notice. Prepare Board resolutions and necessary attachments for Clerk authorization. Facilitate public meetings and hearings as assigned and complete minutes. Obtain necessary signatures for all resolutions to be journalized and distributed. Prepare original correspondence for Clerk’s signature. Perform the essential functions of the Clerk’s position in the Clerk’s absence.

IV. This is not an all encompassing list of duties. Other duties may be added, modified, or deleted determined by the County Administrator or Commissioners. This position will report to the County Administrator.
